Strict rules concerning the way a person has to be dressed have remained in force only in some exceptional cases. It’s not the same as it was 250 years ago when the color of a dress was very important or the number of golden buttons strictly corresponded to the social position of a person.
But people haven’t stopped to attach importance to their clothes. On the contrary, demands towards fashion are even stricter now. Nowadays, fashion doesn’t serve only a narrow society stratum, to keep up with fashion is a natural need for all people.
Some rules according to which a person had to buy a new ball dress or a tuxedo almost everyday are not relevant today. It’s uneconomical and stupid. On the other hand it’s not acceptable to go to the theatre in a dressing gown or velvet trousers or to come to funeral in a sporty trousers or summer beach dress.
Fashion and interests
The number of clothes you have first of all depends on your habits and your lifestyle but not on amounts of money you have.
The choice of clothing depends on places where you adore spending your leisure time. A theatre lover needs classic suits, white shirts and elegant ties. A sporty person always buys sporty clothes.
When you have more free time, your circle of interests becomes wider. Now a lot of people want to know how to choose a good wardrobe and to have clothes that would fit him/her greatly.
Modern opinions about fashion
For the time being it’s enough to be well informed about new trends in fashion and be able to apply this knowledge in conformity with proper tastes. Also thanks to mass media women become aware of the latest fashion trends and in that way accentuate their individuality better. Fashion has become more independent of class and age prejudices.
Fashion strives to keep in step with the time. Present-day fashion gives us unlimited opportunities in this field. It’s relaxed and without pretensions.
It’s fully up to us whether we are able to rightly use it because fashion plays an important role in our life being an external manifestation of our personality.
But namely because fashion allows everything the most important is to make the right choice.

Women and young girls often show more gumption in fashion issues than conservative men.
Female fashion changes faster than male’s. Skirts and jackets can be very short or – several years later – long again.

They try to choose a watch that is in harmony with their attire. That’s the reason a lot of multicolored watch models of original designs appear. Especially women like watches that allow them to substitute one bracelet for another of different color.
